Damian O'Flynn

Damian O'Flynn, born Damian Francis Flynn on January 29, 1907, in Holt, Nebraska, was an Irish-American actor whose career spanned stage, film, and television. He died on August 8, 1982, in Los Angeles, California.

O'Flynn began his performing career on stage in Omaha before pursuing work in New York. Between 1935 and 1943, he appeared on Broadway in several productions, including Barchester Towers, Brown Danube, Empress of Destiny, Foreigners, and Winged Victory. In 1936 he relocated to Los Angeles, and the following year made his screen debut in Marked Woman (1937). He subsequently worked as a freelance player for Warner Brothers, Paramount, and RKO Pictures.

During World War II, O'Flynn was among a group of actors serving in uniform who were cast in the 20th Century Fox production of Winged Victory. His film work included appearances in westerns, among them a bit part in The Far Country (1954) and a role alongside Ben Cooper in Gunfight at Comanche Creek (1963). He also took on a recurring presence in television, appearing in sixty episodes of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp in two separate secondary roles.

Beyond westerns, O'Flynn guest-starred in two episodes of the CBS situation comedy Mr. Adams and Eve during the 1957–1958 season. In 1969 he played a desk clerk in a Green Acres episode titled "The Marital Vacation," which proved to be among his final screen appearances. His acting career concluded that same year.
