Corey Reynolds

Corey Reynolds is an American actor born on July 3, 1974, in Richmond, Virginia, where he attended Monacan High School. He began his performing career at Paramount Kings Dominion before relocating to California to pursue acting professionally.

Prior to his Broadway work, Reynolds appeared in a touring production of the revue Smokey Joe's Cafe and the tour of Saturday Night Fever. He subsequently moved to New York City, where he auditioned for stage productions. Initially placed in the ensemble of Hairspray, he was elevated to the role of Seaweed following three readings of the show. His Broadway career spanned 2000 to 2002 and included credits in both Hairspray and Parade.

Reynolds received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 2003 for his work in Hairspray, along with a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical the same year.

His television work includes guest appearances on Without a Trace and The Guardian. He went on to portray David Gabriel in the TNT crime series The Closer, a role for which he drew on prior experience in security and law enforcement. Reynolds later joined the cast of the SyFy and USA Network comedy-drama series Resident Alien, playing Sheriff Mike Thompson.

Reynolds has also appeared in films including The Terminal, Red Tails, and Straight Outta Compton.
