About

Chris Stack is an American actor born on June 13 in Chicago, Illinois. He trained at the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University and has built a career spanning theater, television, and film.

Stack's stage work began Off-Broadway in 2000, when he took on the role of the Coach in Liz Tuccillo's play Joe Fearless with the Atlantic Theater Company. In 2013, he starred as Ted in the world premiere of Maria Micheles's Sleep Over at the Theater for the New City. His most prominent theatrical credit came in 2023, when he originated the role of Simon — a drummer drawn loosely from Mick Fleetwood — in David Adjmi's Stereophonic during its world premiere run at Playwrights Horizons. Stack continued in the production when it transferred to Broadway in 2024, earning a Theatre World Award for his performance.

On television, Stack appeared in the recurring role of Alec on The Education of Max Bickford from 2001 to 2002. He had guest appearances on Third Watch and Conviction, both in 2006, and that same year played Walt on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns. From December 2007 through June 2009, he portrayed Michael McBain on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live, taking over the role from Nathaniel Marston, and briefly reprised the character in July 2009. In 2022, he appeared in the first season of AMC's Interview with the Vampire as Tom Anderson.

Stack's film credits include the role of Chris in the 2002 film Roger Dodger and Doug in the 2003 film School of Rock.
