Chris Perfetti

Chris Perfetti is an American actor born on December 12, 1988, in Rochester, New York, where he is of Italian descent. He was raised in Webster, New York, and attended Webster Schroeder High School. He later studied at the Conservatory of Theater at the State University of New York at Purchase, where his classmates included Micah Stock and Zoe Kravitz.

Perfetti began his professional stage career in Sons of the Prophet, a play by Stephen Karam, in which he portrayed the character Charlie. That performance earned him a Theatre World Award for Best Debut Performance in an Off-Broadway play. His Broadway work spans from 2013 to 2017 and includes Six Degrees of Separation and a revival of Picnic, the William Inge play, in which he played Bomber beginning in December 2012. In the summer of 2015, he appeared as Ariel in a production of The Tempest at the Delacorte Theater.

On television, Perfetti has accumulated a range of recurring and series regular roles. He played Tim Fletch on the NBC series Crossbones in 2014 and appeared as Brady in the second season of the HBO series Looking in 2015, a role he reprised in the subsequent television film Looking: The Movie in 2016. He also portrayed Ben on The CW series In the Dark in 2020. His earlier television work includes Submissions Only in 2010 and Next Caller in 2012.

Perfetti is perhaps best known for his ongoing role as Jacob Hill on the ABC comedy Abbott Elementary, which began airing and continued through at least 2026. The performance earned him a nomination for a Critics' Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award win. His film credits include the indie drama The Surrogate and Minyan.
