Chris Henry Coffey is an American actor born on May 1, 1971, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was also raised. He earned his graduate degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1999 and has since built a career spanning theater, television, film, and voiceover work, based out of New York City.

Coffey made his Broadway debut in 2014 in Bronx Bombers at the Circle in the Square, playing Joe DiMaggio. He had previously originated the role in the production's Off-Broadway run at Primary Stages. His stage work more broadly has included originating roles in numerous world premieres across New York and regional theaters. Among these are Bekah Brunstetter's Public Servant at Theatre Row in New York City, Gina Gionfriddo's Can You Forgive Her? at the Huntington Theater Company directed by Peter DuBois, and Richard Nelson's Frank's Home, directed by Robert Falls, which ran at Playwrights Horizons in New York and the Goodman Theater in Chicago. He also originated a role in Richard Nelson's How Shakespeare Won the West at the Huntington Theater in Boston, and appeared in Arthur Miller's penultimate play, Resurrection Blues, directed by Mark Lamos at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego.

Additional stage credits include Days to Come by Lillian Hellman for the Mint Theater Company, Lips Together, Teeth Apart directed by Mark Lamos at the Westport Playhouse in Connecticut, The Front Page directed by Gordon Edelstein at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, Violet Hour directed by David Kennedy, and Hedda Gabler directed by Ron Daniels at the Dallas Theater Center. He has also appeared in P.R. Man at the Ohio Theatre in New York City, A View from the Bridge and A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Alley Theater in Houston, and Galileo and Measure for Measure at the Yale Repertory Theater in New Haven.

On television, Coffey has guest starred in And Just Like That..., Mrs. Fletcher, Chicago Fire, Instinct, Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife, Cupid, and Law & Order, and held recurring roles on both Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Guiding Light. His feature film credits include Thirteen Days (2000), The International (2009), Trust (2010), Almost Love (2019), and The Good Nurse (2022). His performance in Trust was cited by critic Roger Ebert on his Best Films of 2011 list and received notice at the Toronto Film Festival. He has also starred in three short films that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival: BFF (2012), Epilogue (2013), and Master Maggie (2019).

In addition to his on-screen and stage work, Coffey is active as a voiceover actor and audiobook narrator. He lives in New York City with his wife, actress Jennifer Mudge.
