Charles Kenyon was an American playwright, book writer, and screenwriter born on November 2, 1880, in San Francisco, California. He died on June 27, 1961, in Hollywood, California.
Kenyon's Broadway career spanned from 1904 to 1906, during which he worked as both a performer and book writer. His stage credits included The Claim, Her Husband's Wife, Kindling, the play Top O' the Hill, and the musical The Rich Mr. Hoggenheimer, among other productions.
Following his work in the theater, Kenyon transitioned to the film industry, where he wrote or co-wrote screenplays for more than 110 films between 1915 and 1946. His marriage to actress Jane Winton lasted from 1927 to 1930.
