Char Fontane

Char "Kaci" Fontane (January 12, 1952 – April 1, 2007) was an American actress and singer born in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of singer Tony Fontane and actress Kerry Vaughn Fontane. Before pursuing performance work, she held a position as an assistant to a disc jockey in Los Angeles.

Fontane's first screen credit came in 1963, when she appeared in The Tony Fontane Story, a film chronicling her father's career as a teen idol and the hardships and achievements that followed. She took on two roles in the production: portraying her father as a young boy and appearing as herself in the film's second half. Her Broadway career spanned from 1972 to 1976 and included a role in Grease. She also toured in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Throughout the 1970s, Fontane made guest appearances on television programs including Love, American Style, Barnaby Jones, and The Love Boat. In 1978, she appeared in the ABC miniseries Pearl, playing a prostitute. Her later television work included a starring role in the 1983 TV movie The Night the Bridge Fell Down, and she had a small part in the 1989 action film The Punisher.

Fontane had a son, Shaun Fontane, with her first husband, Sergio Consani. She later married Roy Yeager, a drummer who performed with the recording group Lobo, country artist Ronnie Milsap, and the Atlanta Rhythm Section. In her later years, she worked as an artist and interior designer. Fontane died on April 1, 2007, in Marietta, Georgia, from breast cancer at the age of 55.
