About
Catherine Ricafort is an American actress, singer, software engineer, and entrepreneur whose Broadway career spans from 2001 to 2017. Born and raised in the United States to a family of Philippine origin, Ricafort attended Westlake High School in California, where she participated in the school's choir program. She went on to earn a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a minor in Musical Theatre from the University of Southern California in 2009. During her time at USC, she was a member of the a cappella group SoCal VoCals.
Ricafort's Broadway credits include Mamma Mia!, Honeymoon in Vegas, A Chorus Line, Disaster!, Allegiance, the 2013 production of Cinderella, and Holiday Inn, The New Irving Berlin Musical, in which she appeared as of 2017. She also played Karen in SpongeBob SquarePants, a role she held from the production's opening on June 19, 2018 through its closure on September 16, 2018.
Beyond the stage, Ricafort appeared on NBC's The Sing-Off as a member of the vocal group The Backbeats during the show's second season.
