Carter Hudson

Carter Hudson is an American actor born on January 21 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Collin College in Texas before transferring to the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater Arts in New York, where he earned his degree in 2009.

Following his graduation, Hudson built his early career in regional theater. In 2009 he appeared in Honus and Me at Mountain Playhouse in Pennsylvania, and the following year he took on a role in The Chosen at Portland Center Stage in Oregon. He subsequently appeared in Lucy Prebble's The Effect in 2012.

Hudson's television career gained significant momentum with his casting in Snowfall, a crime drama created by John Singleton that premiered on FX on July 5, 2017. He portrayed Teddy McDonald, a CIA operative, throughout the series, which ran for six seasons before concluding in 2023. His additional television credits include A Crime to Remember (2013), The Night Of (2016), The L Word: Generation Q, The Wilds (2020), Dear Edward (2023), and American Horror Story: Delicate (2023). On the film side, Hudson appeared in The Cherry Orchard (2016) and Call Jane (2022). He has also contributed a voice role to the video game Red Dead Redemption.

In 2025, Hudson made his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck, George Clooney's stage adaptation of his 2005 film of the same name.

Hudson has been married to actress Hollye Hudson, née Gilbert, since June 21, 2014.
