Carrie St. Louis, born Caroline Brickley St. Louis, is an American actress whose Broadway career has spanned from 2003 to 2025, encompassing credits in Wicked, Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages, and Just In Time.
St. Louis was born and raised in California, where she performed in her first musical at age seven. Her early training included work with the Onstage Theatre Company at the McCallum Theater, and in 2004 she won the Open Call theatre competition in Palm Desert, California. As a high school student at Phillips Academy, she studied voice through Boston University. She went on to major in opera at USC's Thornton School of Music, graduating in 2012.
Within three months of graduating, St. Louis was cast as Sherri in the Las Vegas production of Rock of Ages. Her Broadway debut came in 2014 when she joined the Broadway company of Rock of Ages, taking over the role of Sherri from Kate Rockwell. Later that same year, she joined the touring company of Wicked. In 2016, she transferred from that touring production to the Broadway company of Wicked, assuming the starring role of Glinda. During her run in the role, St. Louis and Jennifer DiNoia performed "For Good" at a United Nations event in New York for Michelle Obama.
In 2017, St. Louis was cast as Annette in the Off-Broadway production of Cruel Intentions, a 1990s jukebox musical, and appears on the show's original cast recording. The following year, she joined the Broadway cast of Kinky Boots in the role of Lauren, beginning her tenure alongside Neon Trees lead singer Tyler Glenn. She remained with Kinky Boots until the production closed in 2019.
In 2022, St. Louis joined the cast of Titanique as Rose DeWitt Bukater and appeared with the company during their national television debut on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers. In July 2023, she starred as Elle Woods in the Kansas City Starlight production of Legally Blonde, and in August 2024 she was cast as Jenna in the Cape Playhouse production of Waitress. In May 2025, Dolly Parton announced that St. Louis would be among the three actresses portraying Parton at different stages of her life in Dolly: An Original Musical, which premiered in Nashville, Tennessee in July 2025.
Alongside her performing career, St. Louis operates a vocal studio, offering private lessons and masterclasses to students throughout the country.
