Carl Harbaugh, born in 1885 or 1886, was an American actor, screenwriter, and director whose career spanned both the Broadway stage and the film industry. He died on February 26, 1960, at the age of 74, at the Motion Picture Hospital.

Harbaugh's stage career placed him on Broadway between 1912 and 1914. During that period he appeared in two productions: The Greyhound in 1912 and The Bludgeon in 1914.

His work in film extended well into the mid-twentieth century. Among his later screen appearances were the biopic Gentleman Jim in 1942, the action picture Northern Pursuit in 1943, and Uncertain Glory in 1944. Harbaugh also appeared in two films released in 1955, The Far Country and The Tall Men. His final acting credit was The Revolt of Mamie Stover in 1956.

Harbaugh was married to Frances Lawson Bouis, who died in 1922.
