About

Bridget Catherine Regan (born February 3, 1982) is an American actress who grew up in Carlsbad, California, in a family of Irish and German descent. Raised Catholic, she began performing as a child in North County productions, including The Wizard of Oz at the La Paloma Theatre and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Carlsbad. She went on to study at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, earning a BFA in drama in 2004, after which she relocated to New York City to pursue a professional acting career.

Regan's stage work includes Broadway appearances between 2005 and 2007. She starred in the play Is He Dead? and also appeared in Children and Art during that period.

Her television career gained significant momentum in 2008 when she began filming Legend of the Seeker, an ABC adventure romance series based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels. Regan played Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell, dyeing her naturally red hair brown for the role, and continued in the series through 2010. She later took on recurring roles across multiple network series, including Rebecca Lowe/Rachel Turner in the fifth season of White Collar on USA Network beginning in 2013, and Rose Solano in The CW's Jane the Virgin, a role she held from 2014 through 2019. Also in 2014, she appeared as Addy in the film John Wick. That same year she was cast as Dottie Underwood in the ABC superhero series Agent Carter, appearing in the show from 2015 to 2016. In 2013, she also joined Beauty & the Beast for a multi-episode arc as Alex, the ex-fiancée of Vincent Keller.

From 2016 to 2018, Regan starred as Sasha Cooper, a diplomat and former Navy Intelligence Officer, in the final three seasons of the TNT action drama The Last Ship. In 2016, she also portrayed military surgeon Megan Hunt in an episode of Grey's Anatomy, a role that was subsequently recast with Abigail Spencer. She has held a recurring role as lawyer Monica Stevens in the ABC police series The Rookie since 2018, and in 2021 was cast as Poison Ivy in the third season of Batwoman on The CW. In 2025, she played Moira Blake on ABC's 9-1-1.

Beyond acting, Regan ventured into producing in 2009 with Camp Wanatachi, a musical that ran at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York. Her film credits also include The Babysitters (2007) and Devil's Gate (2017). She is married to writer Eamon O'Sullivan, whom she met in New Zealand during the production of Legend of the Seeker, and the couple has two children.
