Blake McIver Ewing, also known as Blake McIver and Blake Ewing, is an American actor and singer originally from Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of UCLA.
Ewing built an early profile in television and film, most notably portraying Michelle's friend Derek on the sitcom Full House, a role he later reprised in the revival series Fuller House. In 1994 he appeared as Waldo in the feature film The Little Rascals. His voice acting credits include the character Eugene on Hey Arnold!, which he voiced during the show's fifth season, following Benjamin Diskin, Jarrett Lennon, and Christopher Castile in the role. He also served as one of the hosts of the Bravo series The People's Couch and works as a host for AfterBuzz TV.
In 1998 Ewing appeared on Broadway in Ragtime. His work in the Los Angeles production of the same show, where he played the role of the Little Boy, earned him a nomination for an Ovation Award.
Beyond acting, Ewing co-wrote and performed the song "Along the River," which served as the end credit song for the film End of the Spear. His debut album, The Time Manipulator, was released in May 2014. On July 14, 2015, he released the song "This Is Who We Are." Ewing has contributed to the It Gets Better Project, citing his experiences as a gay teenager as his motivation for participating.
