Ben Rappaport

Ben Rappaport is an American actor born on March 23, 1986, in Arlington, Texas. He attended Klein High School near Houston and developed an interest in acting at the age of fifteen. He went on to study acting at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he received the Michel and Suria Saint-Denis Prize, the Drama Department's highest honor.

Rappaport made his on-screen debut in 2010 when he was cast as Todd Dempsy, the lead role in the NBC sitcom Outsourced, which ran through 2011. Prior to that role, he had accumulated experience in theater and stage productions. He subsequently built a substantial television career through a series of recurring and regular roles. From 2013 to 2016, he appeared as Carey Zepps on The Good Wife, and from 2015 to 2019 he played Ollie Parker on Mr. Robot. He portrayed Max Horowitz on Younger from 2016 to 2021 and Josh Silverberg on Ozark from 2017 to 2022. He also served as a series regular on the Shondaland drama For the People, playing Seth Oliver during its 2018–2019 run. Earlier in his career, he appeared in a Kay Jewelers holiday commercial that drew attention for its prominent depiction of sign language and a deaf character.

Rappaport's Broadway career spans 2013 to 2023 and includes three productions. He played Perchik in the 2015 Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof and appeared in the play Picnic. In April 2023, he starred in the Tony Award-winning play Good Night, Oscar, portraying Jack Paar opposite Tony Award winner Sean Hayes. Rappaport was raised in the Jewish faith, an identity he has described as important to him. He resides in Studio City, Los Angeles.
