Barry Miller is an American actor born on February 6, 1958, at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Los Angeles, California. His father, Sidney Miller, worked as an actor, director, and writer, and his mother, Iris Burton, was an agent. Miller attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles.

Miller's Broadway career spans from 1985 to 1992. His performance in Biloxi Blues earned him three major honors in 1985: the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play, and a Theatre World Award. He returned to Broadway in 1992 to star in Crazy He Calls Me.

Beyond the stage, Miller appeared in several notable films. He had roles in Saturday Night Fever, Fame, and Peggy Sue Got Married, and played Reuven Malter in the 1981 film The Chosen. His television work brought additional recognition when he received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Limited Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television in 1991 for his role in Equal Justice.
