Barbara Hancock is an American actress and dancer born on November 21, 1949. Her performance career spanned stage, television, and film, with Broadway appearances between 1966 and 1973.
During her time with the Harkness Ballet, Hancock took on acting roles across five productions in television and film. Her most prominent screen credit came in 1968, when she played Susan the Silent in the film adaptation of Finian's Rainbow. That performance earned her a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the 1968 ceremony. That same year she appeared in an episode of Tarzan titled "Trina," portraying a character named Minette.
Her film work continued into the early 1970s. In 1969 she played Betsy in Cry for Poor Wally, followed by the role of Nancy Coogan in The Night God Screamed in 1971. In 1972 she appeared as Pearlie Purvis in the television film Fair Play.
On Broadway, Hancock's stage credits include Annie Get Your Gun and the play Oliver Oliver, both part of her work on the New York stage during her active Broadway period from 1966 to 1973.
