Arty Froushan

Arty Froushan, born Artemas Bolour-Froushan on 16 April 1993 in Connecticut, is an English and American actor raised in South London. His mother is English with French heritage, and his father is Iranian. Froushan attended St Paul's School in Barnes before earning a Bachelor of Arts in French and German from Brasenose College, Oxford in 2015. He subsequently trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, completing a foundational degree there in 2017.

Froushan made his professional stage debut at the Royal Court Theatre in White Pearl and his television debut in the 2017 BBC Two docufilm Joe Orton Laid Bare. In 2019, he appeared as Gautier in the second season of the History channel series Knightfall and began his recurring role as Jonah Breakspear in the Amazon Prime fantasy series Carnival Row, a part he continued through the show's run from 2019 to 2023. The following year he played Nadav Topal in Strike Back: Vendetta on Sky One.

Froushan joined the cast of Tom Stoppard's Leopoldstadt at Wyndham's Theatre in the West End in August 2021, then continued with the production through its Broadway run at the Longacre Theatre in 2022. He also appeared as Ser Qarl Correy, the lover of Laenor Velaryon, in the first season of the HBO series House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones based on George R. R. Martin's Fire and Blood.

His feature film debut came in 2023, when he played Majid in The Persian Version, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2025, Froushan took on a main role as Buck Cashman in the first season of the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again and portrayed Noël Coward in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. He is scheduled to play Patrick Bateman in a London revival of the American Psycho musical at the Almeida Theatre, directed by Rupert Goold, running from January to March 2026.
