Arnold Marlé was a German actor born in Berlin on 15 September 1887, who died on 21 February 1970. His career spanned stage, film, and television, with work concentrated primarily in British productions alongside appearances on both the London stage and Broadway.
Marlé's Broadway career included a run of approximately a year and a half in Paddy Chayefsky's play The Tenth Man, which began in 1959 and continued through 1961. The production represents his documented credit with the Internet Broadway Database.
In 1917, Marlé married actress Lily Freud, whose mother was Maria "Mitzi" Moritz-Freud, a sister of Sigmund Freud, and whose father was Moritz Freud, a cousin of Maria's. Following the 1930 death of Tom Seidmann-Freud, Marlé and his wife adopted Tom's daughter, Angela Seidmann-Freud.
