Annie Funke

Annie Funke is an American actress born on April 9, 1985, in Edmond, Oklahoma. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theater from the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 2007, and later completed training at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago in 2011.

Funke's professional acting career began at age 16, when she played Jan in a production of Grease at the Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City. Her stage work has remained central to her career, encompassing Broadway, off-Broadway, and regional productions. On Broadway, she appeared in Hairspray, with her Broadway credits spanning 2002 to 2009. She also performed in the San Francisco production of Wicked. Additional theater credits include the off-Broadway production of Punk Rock and a role opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the Roundabout Theater's If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet.

Funke expanded into film with the 2014 release A Most Violent Year. The following year, on July 17, 2015, it was announced that she had been cast in the CBS crime drama series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, where she portrayed FBI Supervisory Special Agent and Medical Examiner Mae Jarvis.
