Anna Ragsdale Camp, born September 27, 1982, in Aiken, South Carolina, is an American actress whose work spans Broadway, film, and television. Her father, Thomas Sewell Camp, is a bank executive, and her mother, Dee, née Kornegay, is a Democratic Party volunteer. Camp's introduction to performing came in the second grade through a Drug Abuse Resistance Education production at Meadowfield Elementary School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2004, after which she relocated to New York City.
Camp's early stage work included the role of Perfect in columbinus in 2005. In 2007, her performance in the off-Broadway play The Scene earned her a nomination for a Lucille Lortel Award. Her Broadway career began in 2008 with an appearance in A Country Girl, and that same year she took on the role of Jill Mason in the Broadway revival of Peter Shaffer's Equus at the Broadhurst Theatre, a production that starred Daniel Radcliffe as Alan Strang. In 2012, she received a Drama Desk Award nomination for her work in the Off-Broadway play All New People, written by Zach Braff and staged at Second Stage Theatre, where the cast also included Justin Bartha, David Wilson Barnes, and Krysten Ritter. Camp's Broadway activity continued through 2017, with her credits including Time and the Conways.
On television, Camp became widely recognized for portraying Sarah Newlin, a villainous character in the HBO supernatural drama True Blood, a role she first played in 2009 and returned to between 2012 and 2014. Her performance as part of the ensemble earned her a SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She held recurring roles in the fourth season of Mad Men in 2010, the CBS legal drama The Good Wife from 2011 through 2016, The Mindy Project from 2012 to 2013, and Vegas in 2013. In 2016, she played Jane Hollander, a researcher for the fictitious News of the Week magazine, in the Amazon Prime series Good Girls Revolt. Guest appearances during this period included The Office, Glee, Numbers, and Covert Affairs. She also had a recurring role in Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as Deirdre Robespierre. In 2025, Camp took on the dual role of Reagan and Maddie Lockwood in the Netflix thriller You.
In film, Camp played Aubrey Posen in the 2012 musical comedy Pitch Perfect, reprising the character in Pitch Perfect 2 and Pitch Perfect 3, with her vocal contributions appearing on all three soundtracks. She appeared in minor roles in The Help in 2011 and Café Society in 2016, and starred alongside Nasim Pedrad in Desperados. Her casting in the slasher film Scream 7, in which she plays Jessica Bowden, was announced in December 2024. In September 2025, she appeared in the music video for "Butterfly (Narrative Version)" by Yoshiki.
Camp married actor Michael Mosley in 2010 following an engagement that began in 2008; the couple filed for divorce in 2013. She subsequently began a relationship with Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin, and the two married on September 10, 2016, before announcing their divorce in April 2019, which was finalized later that year. As of 2025, Camp is in a relationship with stylist Jade Whipkey. In March 2026, Camp publicly came out as bisexual.
