About
Ann Trevor (1899–1970) was a British actress whose career spanned stage and film work on both sides of the Atlantic.
Trevor's stage career included work in London's West End, where she appeared in the original 1925 production of Noël Coward's Hay Fever at the Ambassadors Theatre. She subsequently brought her theatrical work to New York, performing on Broadway between 1926 and 1930. Her Broadway credits included The Captive and Symphony in Two Flats.
Her film work began in the early 1920s, with screen appearances including Wuthering Heights and Build Thy House, both in 1920. The following year she appeared in The Headmaster and Daniel Deronda. In 1922 she had roles in A Tale of Two Cities and A Rogue in Love. After a gap of more than a decade, Trevor returned to film with Maria Marten, or The Murder in the Red Barn in 1935.
