Angela Christian

Angela Christian is an American actress and singer born in Alabama and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She received her formal training at the Boston Conservatory.

Christian made her Broadway debut in 2000, taking on the role of Lily in Richard Nelson's James Joyce's The Dead. She went on to originate the role of Miss Dorothy Brown in Thoroughly Modern Millie on Broadway, a performance that earned her a nomination for an Outer Critics Circle Award. In 2004, Christian crossed the Atlantic to make her West End debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Woman in White, directed by Trevor Nunn, in which she created the title role. She subsequently reprised that role when the production transferred to Broadway, where her stage work spanned the years 2000 to 2005.

Beyond the stage, Christian has appeared in television episodes of Law & Order, House of Cards, and Unforgettable. In 2019, she appeared on screen as a First Order officer in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. That same year, she had been set to co-produce the film Silver Wings alongside author Katherine Sharp Landdeck, a project that was to be directed by Thomas Kail, her partner at the time. Christian and Kail began their relationship in 2006 and divorced in 2019.
