Andrew Polec, born January 28, 1989, is an American actor, singer, and songwriter working across stage and television. He is the son of Don Polec, a reporter for 6ABC.
Polec is best known for originating the role of Strat in Jim Steinman's Bat Out of Hell: The Musical, a part he developed from the show's workshop stage and performed continuously from 2016 to 2019. His work on the production spanned multiple productions and territories, including the UK and North America. In 2018, he departed the London West End cast and joined the International Touring Cast, appearing in the Toronto run, which had been planned as a broader North American tour before producers halted it after its first venue. In 2012, he released Welcome to Khat House as lead singer of the band Khat House. He also appears on the season one soundtrack of the television series Katy Keene, performing City of Lights alongside Ashleigh Murray.
Between 2017 and 2018, Polec made several television appearances alongside the Bat Out of Hell cast, including performances on Tonight at the London Palladium, Britain's Got Talent, This Morning, and the Today show.
