About
Ana Nogueira is an American actress, playwright, and screenwriter. She grew up in East Falls, Philadelphia, where she attended Friends' Central School, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2007.
Nogueira's stage career includes a Broadway appearance in 2009 in The Heights. Earlier in her theatrical work, she originated the role of Eliza Hamilton in the original Vassar workshop production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's stage musical Hamilton. As a playwright, she has written Empathitrax and Which Way to the Stage.
On television, Nogueira is recognized for playing Sarah in Sarah + Dee and Penny Ares in The Vampire Diaries. Her screenwriting work includes several projects within James Gunn's DC Universe, among them Supergirl, scheduled for release in 2026, as well as an untitled Teen Titans film and an untitled Wonder Woman film.
Nogueira is married to actor and writer Nick Blaemire. In September 2022, she and Blaemire welcomed a daughter.
