Amelia Campbell

Amelia Campbell is a Canadian-born actress who was born on August 4, 1965, in Montreal, Quebec, and raised in Ithaca, New York. She graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 and has built a career spanning stage and film across several decades.

Campbell's Broadway career extended from 1991 to 2012 and included productions such as Translations, The Herbal Bed, A Small Family Business, Good, and Waiting in the Wings. Her stage work earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play in 1991.

Her film work began in 1990 with a small role in The Exorcist III. In 1992 she appeared in both Single White Female and Lorenzo's Oil. Ron Howard's The Paper featured Campbell in 1994. That same decade, in 1999, she took on the role of Patty the stage manager in Macbeth in Manhattan, a production filmed in one of New York City's historic theatres.

Campbell continued her screen work into the 2000s, playing Corinna Ramsey Parker in the 2001 film My Louisiana Sky, which was directed by Adam Arkin. In 2008 she appeared as Sandra Zeller in A Dog Year. Two years later she played Maggie Harmon in Tim Blake Nelson's Leaves of Grass, a 2010 film starring Edward Norton. In 2016 she appeared in the Netflix series The OA.

Campbell is married to Anthony Arkin, born in 1967, who is the son of actor Alan Arkin and the younger brother of Adam Arkin.
