Amanda Balon

Amanda Balon is an American actress, vocalist, and dancer born in Kansas City, Kansas, who was raised in Zimbabwe alongside a twin brother and an older sister. She began performing at age three and enrolled at the Daystar Academy of the Performing Arts as the institution's youngest student, where she also became a member of the Senior competition travel team.

Balon's Broadway-affiliated career is centered on the nationwide tour of the musical Annie, which she joined as part of the 30th anniversary cast directed by Martin Charnin, who also served as the production's script lyricist. She entered the production in the role of Molly, the youngest orphan in the show. At age ten, she was elevated to the title role of Little Orphan Annie. Balon remained with the producing company NETworks Presentations for three years. Her Broadway credit is listed as Annie, with her appearance on Broadway occurring in 2005.

In addition to her stage work, Balon contributed to the 30th anniversary cast recording of Annie, released by Time Life Records in June 2008. The double CD was produced by Robert Sher and featured an all-star lineup that included Carol Burnett, Sally Struthers, Kathie Lee Gifford, Andrea McArdle, John Schuck, Harve Presnell, Gary Beach, and Marissa O'Donnell, among other cast members connected to the original production. On the recording, Balon performs never-before-recorded solos from Annie 2.
