Allison Fischer

Allison Fischer is an American actress and singer born on October 19, 1988, in northern New Jersey. Her professional performance career began at age eleven with the Off-Broadway musical King Island Christmas in 2000. That same year, Fischer made her Broadway debut at Madison Square Garden in A Christmas Carol, portraying Grace Smythe opposite Frank Langella and Tim Curry.

Her early career continued Off-Broadway with a role as Lady Jane in The Prince and the Pauper, a production that ran from 2002 to 2003. In January 2003, she also performed briefly at Playwrights Horizons in Violet, a musical by Jeanine Tesori. The following year, Fischer served as an understudy in Children's Letters to God, an Off-Broadway production that opened at the Lamb's Theatre on June 30, 2004, and ran through January 2, 2005.

Fischer's Broadway career advanced significantly in 2006 when she was cast as Claudia in Lestat, the musical written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. The production ran on Broadway from April 25 to May 28 of that year. She subsequently joined the 2007 Broadway revival of Grease, playing Patty Simcox at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. That production opened on August 19, 2007, and closed on January 4, 2009. Fischer also took the role of Patty Simcox on the Broadway National Tour of Grease.

Beyond the stage, Fischer portrayed the character Megan on the soap opera Guiding Light. She has additionally participated in Yale's Musical Theatre Festival in the new musical The Profit of Creation, provided backup vocals for Florence and the Machine, and appeared in several independent films.
