About
Alli Mauzey is an American actress and singer born in Anaheim, California, whose Broadway career spans from 2002 to 2022. She holds a B.F.A. in drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Mauzey made her Broadway debut in 2002 playing Brenda in Hairspray, a production she also performed in on the First National Tour. In 2007, she originated the role of Lenora in Cry-Baby, first at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, where she received a Theatre Critics Circle Award, and then in the Broadway production. Her work in Cry-Baby earned her a Theatre World Award in 2008 and a Drama League Award nomination. She went on to play Glinda the Good in Wicked on Broadway, a role she also took on in the First National Tour and in the San Francisco company. From March to August 2018, she appeared as Ernestina in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly!
In September 2021, Mauzey was announced as part of the cast for the world premiere of Kimberly Akimbo. The production opened Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company on December 8, 2021, and she subsequently reprised her role when the show transferred to the Booth Theatre, where previews began on October 12, 2022, and the production officially opened on November 10, 2022. Kimberly Akimbo went on to win the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, among other honors.
Beyond her Broadway work, Mauzey has accumulated a range of additional New York and regional credits. Her New York stage appearances include Minerva in the New York City Center Encores! production of The Golden Apple, Sydney in It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman, Ellie May Shipley in Show Boat with the New York Philharmonic, and Selma in the Off-Broadway production of Red Eye of Love. Regionally, she has played Mallory in City of Angels for Reprise! in Los Angeles, Snookie in 110 in the Shade at the Pasadena Playhouse, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at The Muny, the last of which brought her a Kevin Kline Award nomination.
Mauzey has also worked in voice acting, providing the English-language voice of Catalina "Lioness" Leone, one of five central characters in all 52 episodes of the French animated series A.T.O.M. – Alpha Teens on Machines. In the series' second season, she additionally voiced Firekat, a major recurring character.
