Albert Roccardi was an Italian-born actor who built a career spanning both the Broadway stage and the silent film era. Born in Rome on May 9, 1864, he went on to work extensively in the United States before his death in Paris, France, on May 14, 1934.
Roccardi's Broadway career extended from 1905 to 1922, during which he appeared in a range of productions across both musical and dramatic genres. His stage credits included the musical Molly Darling and plays such as The Wheel, Uncle Sam, Getting a Polish, and My Wife, among other productions.
Alongside his theatrical work, Roccardi established a substantial presence in silent film. Between 1912 and 1933, he appeared in more than 60 films, making him a prolific figure in the early cinema of that period.
