About

Addison Timlin, born June 29, 1991, is an American actress who grew up in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Her interest in performing began at age eight, when she convinced her parents to take her to New York City to audition for Annie, earning a supporting role and going on to appear in multiple professional productions of that musical. After signing with an agent, Timlin joined the Broadway revival of Gypsy at age twelve, prompting her mother to relocate the family to Manhattan to support her career. The family relied on Timlin's Broadway earnings while her mother searched for full-time work. During this period, Timlin attended the Professional Performing Arts School, balancing academic coursework with auditions and acting training.

Timlin made her Broadway debut in 2003, playing Baby Louise in the revival of Gypsy, which was led by Bernadette Peters. Her first film appearance came in 2005, when she was cast as Amy, a fourteen-year-old with type 1 diabetes, in Derailed, alongside Clive Owen and Melissa George, who portrayed her parents. That same period saw her appear in the short film The Isabel Fish, directed by Lara Zizic for the Columbia Film Festival, and in the short film Man, written and directed by Myna Joseph, which screened at both the Sundance Film Festival and Cannes.

Timlin's early television work included a recurring role as Charlotte Hanson, the daughter of Stanley Tucci's character, in three episodes of the short-lived CBS drama 3 lbs. In 2008, she played Emily Draper, the troubled teenage daughter of Miranda Otto's character, in the ABC series Cashmere Mafia. That same year she appeared in the music video for "Check Yes Juliet" by We the Kings, portraying the fictional Juliet, having also appeared in 2007 in The Shins' music video for "Sleeping Lessons." She was also cast in Day One, an NBC series that was reduced to a mini-series and never aired.

In the fourth season of Showtime's Californication, Timlin portrayed Sasha Bingham, an actress engaged in a casual relationship with protagonist Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny. She played the female lead, Stormy Llewellyn, in Stephen Sommers' adaptation of Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas, opposite Anton Yelchin in the title role. In February 2012, she was cast in ABC's drama pilot Zero Hour, which premiered as a mid-season replacement in February 2013. Her other film credits from this period include the indie film Best Man Down, starring Justin Long, and the action-comedy Stand Up Guys, which featured Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin.

Timlin played Jami Lerner in The Town That Dreaded Sundown in 2014 and Colleen Lunsford in Little Sister in 2016. That same year she was cast as Lucinda Price in Fallen, adapted from Lauren Kate's novel of the same name, and was initially cast as a female lead in CBS's MacGyver pilot before being dropped when the network ordered the series. In 2017, she joined the second season of Crackle's StartUp, and in 2019 she portrayed a young Hillary Clinton in When I'm a Moth.

In her personal life, Timlin became engaged to actor Jeremy Allen White in April 2019, and the two married on October 18, 2019. The couple has two daughters, born in October 2018 and December 2020. In May 2023, Timlin filed for divorce.
